Just read about the "state of the art" clause in the new Braves stadium contract. Sucks for you, Cobb Countians. If you're not familiar, a state of the art clause requires Cobb County to pay for any upgrades to the new stadium if a certain number of MLB stadiums have some feature that the new stadium doesn't have. So if x number of MLB teams upgrade their video screens with some new technology, Cobb tax money will go toward that upgrade. Can't believe the Braves got that in the contract considering all the uproar about the cost. There was no uproar from Cobb County, they weren't even given an option to speak up. All back room deals that are now being challenged through the legal system. |
