Buckeye fans, thoughts on Brendan Ferns? We signed 7 LBs in the last two classes, granted Hubbard has moved to DE. My sense is that we can wait on LBs this year and we aren't in a hurry to get a bunch of LB verbals.
We also typically see a bunch of Ohio high school coaches complaining when Meyer doesn't offer every scholarship in the class to Ohio kids, but this year we have gone pretty aggressive early in Ohio. Six of our eight verbals are from Ohio (Gerald is playing at IMG but he is from Ohio). There shouldn't be a whole lot of pressure to sign a bunch of Ohio kids from here if we are looking at others. A lot of folks speculated that is what drove 2015 LB Nick Connor's offer last year, when circumstances were different.
With that said, we don't have a LB in this class and we should take two, possibly three.
