I'm generally somewhat handy, but tried installing a chandelier. This is the second time I've installed a chandelier, and it is in the same location. I installed the chandelier, and tested it and it worked. I then finished the installation and it no longer worked. I tested the wires with the old chandelier and nothing. I then used a voltage meter on the ceiling wires and nothing. I checked the circuit breaker and it isn't that.
Home was built in early 1940s.
Don't think it is knob and tube wiring as we just had a renovation and they said we don't have it.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm also dealing with a pissed off wife.
