Didn't the fourth season suck though I thought it was funnier than season 3, although it was much different than the original run

Did y'all see where the inspiration for Dr Franff in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt hung himself and he was allegedly devastated by the show's portrayal of him

Did y'all see where the inspiration for Dr Franff in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt hung himself and he was allegedly devastated by the show's portrayal of him Wow, I did not. Just looked it up though. I figured that character was based on a real person or at least a collection of people but, damn, they were clearly basing it on that guy entirely. Article I read is claiming he suffered from depression for a while and that the portrayal of him was only a small factor in it but that's somewhat hard to believe. Will be interested to see how it affects the show if at all.

It's sad, but the guy appears to be somewhat of a celebrity...I don't think you can really blame a brief parody from Martin Short and I hope it wouldn't affect the show...it would be like Jack LaLanne getting overly upset about Uncle Jack

The former is pretty flattering while the latter is clearly not. As far as it affecting the show, I agree that it shouldn't at all because parody is nothing to get that upset over. I just hope no one tries to push the "bullying" agenda on them (because there's a somewhat valid argument for it).

I was clearly in a Fey mindset despite this thread being about AD. Forgive me for my transgressions.

This is awesome. I just hope they return to the original style and not the single character episodes of the last season. That format was a turnoff, even though there was some funny shit.
