So they are turning the old doraville gm plant into a movie studio? Sounds p cool One aspect of it, still going to have office, MF, and retail. It's 130k sf of what will become a 10MM sf project.

Yeah. Got there at 1230 and first beer line was massive. Hit up all the tastings besides two urban licks, line was dumb long. Then left at 230. Just awful to have 2 beers spots for all those people. In top of that they had shit beer. Fuck Blue Moon sponsoring shit. Walked to lady bird and drank there vs drinking at the fest Sounds like they didn't improve on anything from last year. If they doubled the alcohol stations it would've been fine. Had plenty of food if you showed up on time.

Trying to tie this to transit is a reach. Transit is simply not an option for the vast majority of Atlantas and it won't be until long after we're gone. This got fucked at origination and I just don't see anything tangible being done to improve it anytime soon. No new stations, no new tracks on the horizon, no new intown infrastructure is on the horizon. Lights are back out at the Candler Station. To be fair, if there are no operational improvements evidenced to the ridership, no one is going to want to ride or use MARTA anyways. At this point, MARTA leadership has fallen well short of their goals to improve the system and deserve all the criticism directed their way. To the every day rider, Parker looks like he is just stealing his paycheck since there is nothing tangible to show for it operationally. As an everyday rider, I have no complaints. But you listed out a shit ton of reason Why transit sucks and everyone of them are investment opportunities vs trying to make the connector a double deckertime and time again it has been proven adding more lanes does nothing to relieve traffic.

Well talk after you've experienced it for a few years and have an actual baseline. The article you posted will never come to fruition, just as it stated as such.

It Looks at a million various ways, many bat shit, and not a single angle is transit and the cost/benefit of it as a way to clear up some congestion. 5 days. 5 on time departures and arrivals. System is perfect. Who the fuck needs lights?

It's a study specifically about the connector, would it appease you to add a sentence about adding more marta infrastructure when it's at least 20 years away? That article was pure space filler on a slow Tuesday afternoon and you're giving it entirely too much credit. Again, we'll talk in a year or two when you have an actual sample size and see that minimal, if any, progress has been made despite the non-stop shit talking. Lol at lights, the liability is outrageous and there is no reason for an entire bridge of lights to ever be out on a public transit system. Again, basic fundamentals and blocking & tackling. I can't wait for your first single track experience.

Transit should always be in discussion when congestion is involved. There is no fix to the connector other than funding ways to reduce cars coming to it. Every major city has congestion. That is nearly impossible to completely fix. Bit it should always be included in the solution. My #1 priority is a wireless network between Arts Center and 5 Points. I mean fuck. Bitch I need my tmb for that half of my trip.

I'd love to concede if wireless became a reality. lol, you haven't seen worked up yet, just wait until the AC breaks and I'm stuck in a metal tube this summer. What time are you getting on in the AM?

1280 is old, thus the units are usually dated. Only negative to that location.

What I hate is when they don't read the weather forcast and jack the heat on 70 degree days.

WED rants are great.
The thing is about the Connector is that it is impossible to build your way out of congestion. I hope they realize that capacity improvements to the Connector and adjacent streets is like trying to shove 20lbs of shit in a 5lb bag.
They could turn the existing HOV into a bus only lane from the Connector to OTP, then convert the left general purpose lane to an HOV (3 passenger minimum), then profit.

Atlanta Hawks players Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha were arrested and released for obstructing the crime scene. A Pacers player, his wife, and one other were stabbed outside 1Oak in NYC.
