Not so fast...from Farrell's Mind of Mike today ( footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1754722): 1. Quarterback dominoes "It's that time of year for the quarterbacks to start committing and for the dominoes to begin falling. With K.J. Costello off the board to Stanford and Brandon Peters committed to Michigan, expect a rash of QB commits soon. Jarrett Guarantano will announce April 15 (I expect him to choose Tennessee), and Austin Kendall and Dwayne Haskins Jr. should follow soon. Oklahoma is now the leader for Kendall. Given the Sooners' need at QB, Kendall would be a big help. Maryland has to keep Haskins Jr. home in my opinion, as he would be a key recruiter and the biggest QB get for the Terps in a while. Watch for the QB carousel to start soon." 10. Pipeline to Tennessee could follow Guarantano "If Jarrett Guarantano picks the Vols, watch out for Kareem Walker, Rashan Gary and some others to take a strong look at Knoxville. The Bergen Catholic quarterback is very influential in his home state of New Jersey. If he leaves - and it seems the Vols and Ohio State are ahead of Rutgers - then the Scarlet Knights' recruiting efforts will take a massive hit."

They don't think he will ever fully heal and his mentor is looking for another landing spot.

Bruce Judson goes to Cocoa. Doubt it hurts with him- he seems to want to be at OSU with CUM. Shaun Wade is probably a lock to decommit simply because he goes to Trinity Christian and that is what they do.

I find it odd that they would kick Dean to the curb if he still wants to give it a go somewhere. He was one of the earliest if not the earliest commit in that class and I think he's a pretty stud student. Why not just keep him around for a year and if his legs react like you think they will....maybe he'll see the writing on the wall after a year too and you don't burn any bridges. Doesn't really make sense to me.

She was having some issues with Facetime on her end, so it just ended up being another phone interview. It was about 45 minutes long and it was just us. It was pretty relaxed, I try to follow the 80/20 rule and I'm pretty good at the standard interview questions and she asked a lot of the same questions that my 2nd interviewer did. The girl I talked to today is a senior member of the team that I'm applying to join, the 2nd interviewer is the guy we'd report to. The things that stick out about their interviews are you literally cannot bullshit them because they will sniff it out. Everyone I've talked to is clearly very intelligent. What I hope is the final interview is Thursday at 4:30 with two people. We'll see how it goes.

Awesome to get that far....close the deal. I'd have to think they would bring you in for an in-person interview just because they shit money and there's no reason not to. That being said....hopefully, that would just more be a formality to make sure you aren't some super creeper and not so much an interview.

I'd be surprised if they didn't have me out there. I think that was supposed to be this step but the position they are hiring for is a new position and I'm not sure they have a process set up for it yet. The guy I'd be reporting to is fairly new to Apple. Hopefully, it won't take as long to hear back after Thursday.

In fact, Wallace just got off the phone with Meyer about 30 minutes ago and the conversation went very well.
"I got of the phone with them about 30 minutes ago," he stated. "It was a really good talk. I was talking with coach Meyer and we talked a little football and he was seeing how things were going in my life, stuff like that."
The Ohio State coaching staff has told him that they're taking one quarterback and the first one to commit gets the spot.
"They're only taking one quarterback in this class," he continued. "They said the one who commits first is the one they're going to take."
Wallace is a big fan of Meyer both as a football coach and as a person. He also likes the idea of developing as a quarterback under Meyer.
"He's a great coach. He's more than just a coach, he actually cares about you and cares about what you become when football is over with. He's that genuine of a guy and really cool. He actually cares about you and what happens to you when you leave his football team," he detailed. "He also develops he quarterbacks and puts them in position to be successful."
A decision appears to be very close for the standout signal-caller, who was committed to Texas Tech at one point in the recruiting process.
When pressed, Wallace indicated that his college decision could come down very soon.
"It could be tomorrow, I couldn't tell you at this point," he stated. "Just whenever it feels right."
"It could definitely been soon Wallace," Wallace said laughing when pressed further. "It could definitely be soon."
He doesn't have any visits scheduled and odds are he won't take any more before announcing his decision.

**Slaying The Competition? … So, you’ve likely been hearing good things about redshirt freshman defensive end Darius Slade this spring. Well, one of our best sources has been hearing great things.
“Slade is wreaking havoc in practice,” the source said. “He was a guy that put up a ridiculous amount of sacks in high school and was a big-time playmaker, but he was kind of thin. They’ve bulked him up a lot and he looks great. Even with the added weight, his first step is special; his first step is elite. He plays with great leg bend; very flexible and athletic.
“The bottom line with Darius Slade is as much or more than anyone on the team, he’s taking advantage of his opportunity this spring.”
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Slade has been working with the first-team defense at times, usually when Joey Bosa gets a rest. Slade will also challenge Tyquan Lewis (and Jalyn Holmes and Sam Hubbard) for the starting DE spot opposite Bosa.
