Went down and visited a buddy in Greenville, SC this past weekend and we made a trip to Asheville to check out the brewery scene and see how it competes with my hometown Grand Rapids. I gotta say I came away extremely impressed. Breweries everywhere-all within walking distance which was a huge plus and I enjoyed the atmospheres at all of them. Also love the amount of Sours that Wicked Weed brews. It was a fun trip and I would say they beat Grand Rapids in the overall atmosphere of a beer city- they just might not have the quality as GR-100% due to Founders.

The timing couldn't be any more perfect, either. Just wrote a check for taxes, paid a $450 UPS bill, tuition for the oldest little lady, and will have like $350 in checking on the 13th...and I'm immediately putting that on a beer membership because I am an asshole.

ZZ did you try Athena or Bibo? the latter I think is a very tasty pilsner (as tasty as one can be, given the limitations of the style). I'm meh on Reclaimed Rye.
