I'd agree mostly. But if they have a wife and kids it might not be as easy to do. Still doable unless they are living check to check but it would be harder.

Trying to plan a bachelor party is a cluster. There's always one or more people bitching about cost. Always.

I have come to the conclusion that trying to plan anything with a group of adult friends is a clusterfuck. Had a similar experience with a bachelor party last year, but not because of money. With my group it is because it is damn near impossible to get everyone to commit to a date for the weekend of the get together. And then when the majority come to a consensus, one or two of these assholes who haven't responded or recommended a date come in with "Oh damn, I can't do it then, I have XYZ that weekend." It took forever to iron out, and eventually one dude just got left behind and couldn't (wouldn't) make it.
Trying to plan our fantasy football draft each August is a similar scenario. It takes a month and a half to discuss which weekend, Friday night or Saturday day, who can do what when, who is on vacation, who's kid has ball practice/game/dance recital/frontal lobotomy scheduled for when, etc. And just when you think you have the date locked down, yep here comes one of your asshole buddies with some bullshit who hadn't spoken up yet.
Adult males are worse than children about planning shit, and when marriages and kids enter the equation, oh holy fuck!

It got to be too much of a hassle to keep in touch so they all said fuck it.

nug pm me with some details and I'll see if I can help straighten some stuff out/make it more cost effective Thanks. It's nothing I haven't shared in the Vegas thread from the old site (rip). We have a hotel at The Venetian for a reasonable price. That's paid for. The issue now is what to do Friday and Saturday. I've been to Vegas twice, and had a blast both times, but we did it big. I keep telling the guys if we go out there and half-ass everything and try to cut corners/be cheap, we won't have fun. Sucks to say, but it's one of the most expensive places there is. About half the guys are willing to bite the bullet and pay for option (1) below, and the other half are trying to say "lets just walk around and gamble. Don't casinos give you free drinks anyways???" None of the guys other than me have ever been to Vegas before. This i what I just sent everyone after a myriad of emails back and forth bitching about prices. ----------- I see three options (I'm leaving Saturday night just 'open'---we can go get dinner somewhere, gamble, go to a strip club, whatever---it's Vegas and we're all adults, we don't have to hold each others hands). If we go out there without booking anything/without deciding or agreeing on something, it will not be a good time. (1) VIP Bottle service at a Club on Friday Night and VIP Pool Cabana for Saturday. This would be approx $600/person, split between 10 people. However, this means we do NOT have to pay for food and alcohol, it is included in that $600. Bottle Service at the Club is $250/person (I can guarantee that everyone will spend about $200 that night on drinks alone if we do NOT get the table, so this is my vote). The Cabana will be about $300-350/person, same deal---we won't have to buy food or alcohol for Saturday. I promise this will be a fucking blast. RACER----the promoter I've been texting with is telling me $2,500 for VIP table at The Bank on Friday and $3,500-4K for Pool Cabana at WET or some other top-tier scene. Those prices seem pretty accurate? We'll be there for a weekend in June, fwiw. (2) Bachelor Tour Company on Friday night and VIP Pool Cabana for Saturday. This would be approx $400 or 500/person. Friday night would consist of one of these packages: www.trenzlasvegas.com/vegas_bachelor_party_package.htmlIt's basically a party bus that takes you around to different clubs, the details are on that website. Obviously, the more shit we want to do the more expensive it gets. They range from $99/person to $500/person. There are mixed reviews on this---some people say they've had a great time, some have said it was not fun at all. It's a complete crapshoot, and would be a bit of a gamble (GET IT???), but could save some dough. Then Cabana on Saturday, like described above. (3) Nothing on Friday Night OR Saturday Night, Cabana on Saturday. Would be about $300 or $400/person, but this is only for the Cabana. I think this would be a bad idea---we'll still have to buy alcohol and dinner for both nights, and we 100% won't be able to get into a club rolling 10 dudes deep. I think we'd just be looking for something to do the entire time, or pay out our asses for something fun. However, this does save the most money. ----------

I would say cut out the party bus, and do the VIP tables at day club and night club.

I would say cut out the party bus, and do the VIP tables at day club and night club. That's my vote as well, but it's also the most expensive, hence why people are hesitant. The most frustrating thing that I'm trying to emphasize is you're going to pay an arm and a leg for drinks/a good night in Vegas anyways, just do it in the appropriate setting. A $2,500 minimum for a VIP table for 10 guys is literally the exact same as a bar tab of $250/person. That's not crazy for Vegas.

I typically am the person in our group that plans trips. My philosophy is you can't hold everyones hand and if they want to make it they will make it. Give everyone an opportunity to put in their blackout dates and then see what works and set a date. You can't make everyone happy and you will just kill yourself trying to make it work out. So try to pick a date that works for most people and they make it if they can make it. Also as far as planning stuff on the trip I throw out a few suggestions and offer to plan it. If they want to do it fine and if they don't then let it go. IMO if you try to force someone to do something even if it is fun they will still complain because they didn't want to be there in the first place.

I don't think I'd ever be able to leave Tahoe if I had all my stuff with me up there. My brother lives in Reno and he took me up there, what an awesome place.

We'll go once we're a little better off and miss snow in a few years.

Fixing to walk in to job interview. Hope it is what i am looking for . Does it involve bong hits, breakfast burritos, or intentionally vomiting? I wish i got paid to get high and eat. Unfortunately they wouldn't allow it. They didn't even have a policy for Columbus Day

They didn't even have a policy for Columbus Day I've done maybe 1 hour of actual work this week. I've been pretending to do so while taking bong rips and eating breakfast burritos and ayce sushi lunch. And masurbating.
