***Some post on the board and we have mentioned in the notes. They are some concerns with WR play in Athens currently I am hearing. Talked to many people that have been to practice in the last few weeks and right now UGA is not trotting out a lot of NFL caliber type dudes at WR and that is being honest. I do believe that Malcolm Mitchell being healthy for a whole year is going to be a big deal for UGA if he makes it. Somebody has got to step up or teams are going to double him on every play. Justin Scott-Wesley, Charlie Hegedus somebody will have to step up for the Dawgs. I expect Terry Godwin to get touches and make an impact but it is hard for a true freshman early on to do that much. As the season unfolds he could be a heavy factor, but right now an upperclassmen must help out.
***On the other side of this, I am told the tight end group is really playing well and the UGA staff is very excited about them. Like we mentioned before Jay Rome has looked to have turned the corner and changed his body and playing like many expected he would coming out of high school. If they TE’s play more 2 TE sets in the new offense it could very well off set some of the lack of depth at WR if that is an issue in the fall. Regardless expect Jeb Blazevich, Jackson Harris and Rome to get a lot of looks this season.
***That was a big get from Georgia on Thursday with EJ Price. He is very well liked and he is not going to be shy about recruiting others to join him. Talked with someone very close to this on Friday morning and ask them how solid he was in this decision and I was told, there is “No worries” on him going somewhere else. Always there is a long way to go, but he has a big time opportunity with UGA losing some lineman after this season.
***Nigel Warrior was not back in Athens on Thursday. That does not mean a ton, he takes his track season very serious. Warrior is a huge priority for UGA and I look for UGA staff to be all over him when the Spring Eval period starts in a few weeks. He should also be a threat in track and field to win at least a couple of events with his Westlake teammates.

I expect Shakenneth Williams to step up (been out with a hamstring) and between him, Mitchell, Davis, Joystick Izzy, and JSW plenty of talent should be there at WR.
Godwin, Chigbu, and Hegedus could contribute a lot also and Blazevich is great.
All about the quarterback situation not the least bit worried about WR (until of course Mitchell is inevitably arrested or suffers some freak injury)

sort of agree on WR - we have adequate talent there but not a ton. if MM or JSW get seriously injured we will be in trouble

TEs will cover a lot up for us at WR. I don't think Davis is really any good. I have doubts about Hegedus as well. Think Shakenneth and MM will be good but they need to be healthy. No idea what I'm getting with JSW. I still am not buying McKenzie at WR.

Nice to see the Dawgs realistic even if it is sarcasm. At least you'll be able to quote a good prediction post season. It is going to be a bad bad year for the Dawgs. Seem like you turn way too many blue chip recruits into scrubs. Need some coaching changes.
